Executive Committee (ExCo)

The duties of the Executive Committee (ExCo) are to dispose of matters determined by the Council. The ExCo's terms of reference and decision-making power for each matter referred, are decided by NACI. The ExCo meets every month.

The Executive Committee members are:

• Dr Steve Lennon (Chair) - Managing Director: Corporate Services Division of ESKOM
• Dr Phil Mjwara (CEO) - Director-General: Dept. of Science and Technology
• Professor Cheryl de la Rey - Deputy Vice-Chancellor, University of Cape Town
• Dr Msomi - Executive Director of BioPath Laboratories (Pty) Ltd
• Ms Njobe - Group Executive at CSIR
• Dr Johannes Potgieter - Chief director: Department of Trade and Industry
